Buy for walk-and-talk video, not rough adventures
Pocket 3 makes polished moving footage much easier than hand-holding a phone, and the Creator Combo solves audio, grip life and tabletop setup in one box. It suits a solo vlogger, travelling food creator or parent who will protect delicate gear. It is wrong for rain, snow, sand, impacts or hands-free action: DJI says it is not water resistant, and the exposed motorized gimbal needs its protective cover. Pocket 4 is the better long-term buy when the price gap is modest.

Is Pocket 3 discontinued?
No. DJI still sells Pocket 3 and several bundles in Canada, but it is now the discounted previous generation below Pocket 4 and Pocket 4P.
Does 4K/120 work for ordinary recording?
DJI specifies 4K/120 for Slow Motion mode. Normal-video resolution and frame-rate choices differ, so do not read 120 fps as the default recording mode.
Can the included microphone record two people?
The combo includes one transmitter. Pocket 3 can connect with supported wireless audio setups, but a second-person kit requires additional compatible hardware.
Can it be used in rain?
DJI's safety guidance says Pocket 3 is not water resistant. Keep it dry; a motorized gimbal camera should not be treated like a sealed action camera.
Does it need the DJI Mimo app?
The camera works independently for recording, while Mimo supports activation, updates, control and media workflows. Confirm current phone compatibility before gifting.
